How We Work Together
These terms govern project work and retainer services with c2c. Please read them before requesting a quote or paying a deposit.
This page is for operational clarity and is not a substitute for legal advice. Have an attorney review these terms before relying on them in a client engagement.
Scope of Work & Scope Creep Protection+
The flat-fee package covers only the work outlined in the initial proposal. Any request that falls outside that agreed scope is not included in the package price and requires a new quote or an additional hourly fee before that work proceeds.
Milestone & Delay Disclaimers+
Turnaround estimates — including typical windows such as one to two weeks — are estimates, not guarantees of a specific delivery date. If you delay providing text, assets, feedback, or other materials needed to continue the work, the project deadline is automatically extended by an equivalent amount of time.
Payment, Retainer & Cancellation Terms+
A 50% deposit is due up front. Once work has begun, that deposit is non-refundable.
Final files and site migration are delivered only after the remaining 50% balance has been paid in full.
On the Retainer Partner plan ($250/month), maintenance and support are paused immediately if a monthly payment fails.
Intellectual Property & Code Ownership Handoff+
Ownership of the project code transfers to you only after full payment has been received.
c2c retains the right to reuse non-proprietary code snippets, layout logic, and open-source elements in future projects.
c2c also retains the right to showcase the finished site in its portfolio, unless the work is covered by a signed NDA.
Third-Party Plugin & Platform Disclaimer+
c2c is not responsible for glitches, security incidents, or breaking changes caused by third-party platforms, including Vercel, Shopify, WordPress, Google Lighthouse updates, and similar services.
Client-Furnished Content Indemnification+
You warrant that you own or have legal rights to all text, logos, and images you provide. If a third party sues c2c over content you provided, you are responsible for c2c's legal fees and damages arising from that claim.
Post-Launch Defect Warranty Limit+
Free bug fixes are guaranteed for 30 days after launch, covering cases where the site does not function as designed. Fixes requested after that window, or after you or another developer has modified the code, require a new paid service contract.
Right to Subcontract+
c2c reserves the right to use independent contractors or third-party specialists on parts of the project, while remaining fully responsible for final delivery.
Server Uptime & Hosting Disclaimer+
c2c does not own hosting infrastructure. c2c is not liable for lost sales, lost data, or downtime caused by third-party hosting provider outages, including Vercel, AWS, and similar providers.
